No awakened being really believes anything. Let’s get that out of the way first.

I’m sure there are awakened people that have the typical good careers, a university education and so on. Not everyone that wakes up has to either become a shit-grinning spiritual teacher or a wanderer. Most probably don’t actually. Some awakened people just dive right back into the world, into whatever unfolds for them. That unfolding could very well involve a successful career.

I know that Osho himself completed university while enlightened and then taught as a professor of philosophy for many years following that.

They say, ‘Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.’ The typical activities go on. Life goes on, whether it’s pointless or not.

It’s all obviously completely pointless though. We’re all going to die and sooner or later nobody is going to remember us or anything that we did. That’s quite a liberating thing to realize.

“The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end - you don’t come to an achievement, you don’t come to a conclusion. It is an endless river.”

- Jiddu Krishnamurti
